Chris Wells, ARI

With QB Kurt Warner's retirement, the Cardinals are looking for a better run-pass balance in 2010. "We have shown progress in the run game," HC Ken Whisenhunt said. "And it gives us optimism going forward that we can be more balanced." Last season, Arizona attempted 594 passes -- 3rd most in the NFL. They finished dead-last in the league with just 365 carries. Look for the Cardinals to lean more heavily on RBs Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower this season as they ease QB Matt Leinart into the starting job.

With the loss of Kurt Warner and a potentially easy run schedule, Wells should be considered a top-20 back and a great sleeper. Hightower will make a dent, but only as much as Greene did last year to T.Jones.

I agree. Excellent sleeper pick.

Beanie Wells took a step back against Carolina, but his rise to the starting job in Arizona continues.

Mike Sando of ESPN projects that Chris Wells may have his carries increased gradually at the expense of Tim Hightower, and that Wells seems like the better big-play rushing threat.

This is a player to keep an eye on. Since the NFL draft, he has been one of the biggest and best sleepers. Since then, Wells has jumped from the early 12th round to late 5th!! That is quite a move. Consider that he is on the verge of overtaking L.Johnson, D.Ward, and W.Parker, at what point is he starting to be considered overvalued?

I think the same range as those RBs is a fair value for him, but it looks like he's not a sleeper anymore. I'm assuming he'll be splitting carries with Arrington, so he's value is somewhat limited.

I'm assuming Bernie meant Hightower and not Arrington. I expect Wells to rise even further once the preseason hits to be honest. Recent rookie RB's have proved to be very fantasy worthy in redraft formats.

Whoops, yeah, I meant Hightower. I get those below average RBs confused sometimes. But Wells still will be splitting carries. Forte and Ryan were great as rookies last year, but they carried the full load.

Jared Cook -- not Brandon Pettigrew -- has the best fantasy value for dynasty owners. Dude is a monster.
