2 | Pierre Thomas is simply a better running back than Reggie Bush. He's more rugged, more durable, almost as good of a pass catcher, and much better as a runner. Statistically, there's no comparison. Bush has struggled in each of his three seasons in the pros, never averaging more than 48 rushing yards per game or 3.8 yards per carry. Thomas, meanwhile, has aaveraged 4.8 yards per attempt in each of his two years. In the six weeks he's been in the starting lineup, he's been more productive than any running back in the league, averaging 82 rushing and 45 receiving yards, with 9TDs. When the Saints selected Bush No. 2 overall, almost everyone expected him a to score long touchdowns regularly. But in 40 games, Bush's longest touchdown run has been only 23 yards. In a fraction of the playing time, Thomas has scored on runs of 24, 31 and 42 yards.
