Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams has no problem being in a straight RB-by-committee this season. "The front office and coaching staff are single-handedly prolonging my career and (Jonathan Stewart's) career. 30 is like the new 50 in the NFL, especially when it comes to tailbacks," Williams said. "We're each about 220 or 230 carries a year. I'd rather have that than 300-plus carries a year. It's going to be close to a 50-50 split no matter want." Carolina is fortunate to have 2 ultra-talented RBs on the roster. But barring an injury, neither will be a RB1 in fantasy if they're splitting carries.

You have a great argument, but Stewart scored all the touchdowns until Week 5 last season. I think the coaches will put the rock in his hands in scoring situations again this year, and that's a big hit to DeAngelo that makes me want to steer clear of him as high as he is going in drafts this year.

Projected schedules rarely end up as they appear preseason. Studies have shown that since 1993, 46 teams have projected to play difficult schedules - records of at least 138-118. Of that group, 12 of 46 went on to play schedules that were overwhelmingly difficult. J Stewart had 184 carries last year and played in every game. Yes, he was banged up but still avg. 4.5 and had 10tds. How banged up was he? How much will his workload increase or change considering Deangelos success? Last years split was about 60/40. Deangelo will finish in the top 10.

DeAngelo has a more difficult schedule this year, J. Stewart will come into the season healthy and with a full offseason of work, and most of DeAngelo's points came from touchdowns, which is difficult to replicate from season to season. I don't see him finishing as a top-10 running back.

Yeah, that's a good point about Stewart. Even given the chance, I don't know if he would ever be able to handle a full workload.

DeAngelo definitely won't score 18 TD's again, but I think a 1300/12 season is well within reach. Especially if JStew continues to be burden with nagging injuries.
