Fitz avoided the Madden Curse by a narrow margin last week in practice. Perhaps a sign of things to come this season?

I completely agree. I tend to think that Warner will regress this season, which will therefore negatively affect Fitzgerald's value. Fitz will still be a top 7 WR though.

Madden shMadden...there are a lot of players that get injured that are not on the cover of the game eash season as well.

Exactly. He will have a good year but it will fail to compare to last years, so the Madden myth believers can use it to further cite their case

I kind of agree. Besides, the only place Fitz's fantasy value has to go is down after the way he ended 2008.

Regardless of why it happens, there is a clear trend that many players do suffer from a Madden effect. Since there are two guys on the cover this year, maybe they'll split the curse instead.

It's all bunk. I've never bought into the Madden Curse and I never will. It's just reversion to the mean. In order to get on the cover of Madden, you have to have a great season. Chances are the next year you won't do as well. Simple as that.
