With the injury to RB Sammy Morris, Maroney stepped in and had his best performance in two years. On 16 carries, he had 123 yards and a touchdown. The New England Patriots will travel to Tampa Bay in Week Seven. The Buccaneers ranks 31st in rushing yards allowed per game (171.7), and are allowing opposing running backs 4.9 yards per carry.

Maroney reveals that he attempted to play with a broken bone in his shoulder last season. The 3rd year back still remains the best option for the Pats and their running game hopes. He could surprise this year.

Interesting. I guess I thought that he was "soft" and just didn't play through the pain. I guess I can't blame him in this case. He has talent, let's hope he can stay healthy now.
