Matt Forte - Fantasy Football Chatter http://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com What's new in fantasy football en-usMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte1094Wed, 24 Mar 2010 15:05:45 -0400Bears HC Lovie Smith announced RB Matt Forte would begin the season as the starter, but face competition from newly signed Chester Taylor. Forte might have the official title as "starter" for now, but it's clear this is shaping up to be a two man committee. The Bears didn't dish out a 4-year 15-million dollar deal to have Taylor ride the pine, so look for a near 50-50 split come the regular season.

Submitted by brettbarclay
Source: www.draftsharks.comMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte1039Wed, 10 Mar 2010 13:47:02 -0500It is as I had feared... only much, much sooner. "We have two starters," Darth Martz proclaims almost a day after my posting. This is not good news for Forte owners. And in redraft leagues, this knocks him probably below RB20 in your ADP.

Submitted by smileyman
Source: www.chicagobears.comMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte1026Tue, 09 Mar 2010 11:19:21 -0500Chester Taylor signed with the Chicago Bears. Taylor's stock definitely improves here, as he is a good pass-catching back -- which Forte is not. Forte declined in '09 to the detriment of anyone who drafted him in the first round. Cutler obviously is a gunslinger and did not look to Forte as an outlet. Very few passes in '09 and now being taken out on 3rd down?! This move may push Forte as low as the 4th or 5th round.

Submitted by smileyman
Source: www.chicagobreakingsports.comMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte699Wed, 29 Jul 2009 21:45:53 -0400Forte goes ahead of division rival Peterson in Experts League PPR Draft

Submitted by FB Jabber
Source: footballjabber.comMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte628Tue, 14 Jul 2009 23:34:03 -0400Who you got? Matt Forte vs. Michale Turner in a Dynasty league?

Submitted by FB Jabber
Source: footballjabber.comMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte637Thu, 16 Jul 2009 02:08:13 -0400I think I would go Turner too, unless we are talking PPR league.

Submitted by thehazeanMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte613Tue, 07 Jul 2009 14:25:31 -0400A writer at the bleacher report projects Forte to get 1,400-1,500 rushing yards, 400 receiving yards, and 10-15 touchdowns. Kind of optimistic, but reasonable.

Submitted by TDfred
Source: bleacherreport.comMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte630Wed, 15 Jul 2009 12:36:08 -0400That's a great position to be in. Can't go wrong either way. I think I prefer Turner because he's a TD machine. The article makes some good points I hadn't considered though.

Submitted by jacksonMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte417Mon, 08 Jun 2009 20:32:50 -0400Matt Forte injured his hamstring at practice last week. He reportedly heard a "pop" but said it is nothing too serious. He had an MRI but the results have not been disclosed.

Submitted by thehazean
Source: thehazean.comMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte428Wed, 10 Jun 2009 02:25:54 -0400Bears fans better hope that Forte's injury isn't serious. Hearing a popping sound is never good.

Submitted by ZENMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte427Wed, 10 Jun 2009 02:24:08 -0400Forte is a top 3 pick in fantasy drafts and having Cutler only increases his value. Cutler will make teams will pay if they have too many guys at the line of scrimmage.

Submitted by ZENMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte425Tue, 09 Jun 2009 23:06:16 -0400My fantasy rankings are not happy to hear this. Hope it's not something that plagues him all season and/or takes him out for the season.

Submitted by fantasyfoolMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte449Wed, 10 Jun 2009 14:29:30 -0400That's a good point. Last year teams knew that the Bears were going to run the ball because they had no passing game. Having a decent passing weapon should help increase Forte's YPC.

Submitted by bernie_kosarMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte422Tue, 09 Jun 2009 12:09:37 -0400Wow, I hope it really isn't serious. Hate to lose two first round RBs in the same week.

Submitted by jordan23Matt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte33Mon, 27 Apr 2009 19:35:41 -0400Yeah, the Bears have had a decent O-line, just no one that could actually throw the ball. This could really be the Bears' year.

Submitted by willMatt Fortehttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/matt-forte8Sun, 26 Apr 2009 01:23:42 -0400Forte is looking forward to Cutler arriving. They may pass a little more than last year, but my guess is that Chicago stays run-first. Overall positive impact for Forte.

Submitted by mel
Source: www.chicagotribune.com
