Thomas Jones - Fantasy Football Chatter http://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com What's new in fantasy football en-usThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones1037Wed, 10 Mar 2010 00:03:44 -0500ESPN's Adam Schefter -- via his Blackberry, of course -- reports that the Chiefs have signed free-agent RB Thomas Jones to a 2-year deal worth $5 million. It's backup money, and that's what we expect Jones to be. The 31-year-old averaged an impressive 4.2 yards per carry in New York last season. But that was behind one of the best offensive lines in the game. He won't have that luxury in Kansas City. Expect the Chiefs to use the quicker and more explosive Jamaal Charles as their primary ball-carrier while getting Jones 8-10 touches per game. That being said, expect Jones to vulture the goal-line work. The move definitely puts a dent in Charles' value, but he still has top-10 upside.

Submitted by brettbarclay
Source: www.draftsharks.comThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones834Thu, 13 Aug 2009 19:12:56 -0400Unless you're taking a late-round flier on part of the Jets backfield, you may want to avoid it altogether in fantasy football drafts this year.

Submitted by fantasyfool
Source: www.fantasyfootballfools.comThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones813Wed, 12 Aug 2009 00:06:18 -0400Jets may try to trade Jones

Submitted by Maven
Source: nfpost.comThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones814Wed, 12 Aug 2009 02:25:59 -0400Wow, that would be big. NFC West, huh? Gotta be Seattle or maybe Arizona.

Submitted by bernie_kosarThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones377Sat, 30 May 2009 16:36:34 -0400After missing 6 voluntary OTAs, Thomas Jones returned to Jets camp. He is said to be in great shape, but still unhappy about his contract. After rushing for an AFC-leading 1312 yards in 2008, Jones is scheduled to make only $900,000 in year 3 of his 4-year contract.

Submitted by junkyardjake
Source: www.nydailynews.comThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones436Wed, 10 Jun 2009 02:42:47 -0400Heard that the Jets are waiting on Greene's development during training camp before deciding to trade Jones or not.

Submitted by ZENThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones402Thu, 04 Jun 2009 16:38:44 -0400Tell the whole story. TJ's already been paid something like $13 mil the last two years. This is the last year of his deal and he's over 30, so he won't be back in 2010 regardless.

Submitted by theendzoneviewThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones404Thu, 04 Jun 2009 17:59:29 -0400Also a good point. He's never been a stellar running back. Always just slightly better than the other guys on the roster.

Submitted by bernie_kosarThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones381Sun, 31 May 2009 17:03:32 -0400Yeah, I guess that isn't a great contract.

Submitted by bernie_kosarThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones265Tue, 12 May 2009 09:16:26 -0400yeah missing OTA's , might give Leon Washington more stock this year.

Submitted by BabyfacerThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones243Mon, 11 May 2009 18:08:16 -0400Thomas Jones is skipping more practices. Not sure where I would take him this year.

Submitted by carson
Source: fantasyfootballcalculator.comThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones195Thu, 07 May 2009 17:31:32 -0400TJ will be an interesting pick. No way will he be back in 2010 with the Jets so if he does show up and he's healthy, I'd expect the Jets to run him into the ground this year. Greene will get some touches, but they have no reason to save TJ

Submitted by theendzoneviewThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones97Thu, 30 Apr 2009 16:01:06 -0400The latest report is that Thomas Jones is not going to get a new deal because the Jets are trying to shore up money to sign Sanchez.

Submitted by bernie_kosar
Source: nooffseason.comThomas Joneshttp://www.fantasyfootballchatter.com/thomas-jones82Wed, 29 Apr 2009 00:17:09 -0400Thomas Jones didn't show up at the Jets' minicamp to dispute his contract.
