Thoughts: Can we get Favre back?

Jay Cutler, CHI

Yeah, I've seen him taken surprisingly early in some drafts. I think it depends greatly on each person's perception. That makes it hard to target him because you don't know where he'll be drafted.

Chris Brown, HOU

1
God I hope not! I'm banking on Slaton in one of my leagues. Hopefully Brown will go down with turf toe again.

Terrell Owens, BUF

2
He has a habit of blowing away people's expectations in his first year, but I think he's just getting up there in age and Edwards is very average. He'll be fantasy relevant, but I'm not going to be scared of any teams that draft him.

Steve Smith, CAR

2
That's a good sign. I guess I won't drop him in my rankings yet. Hopefully others will overreact.

Ryan Grant, GB

1
That would be interesting. I'd like to see Grant get more touches. He has the talent, they just need to feed him the damn ball!

Brady Quinn, DEN

1
This one's gonna go to Quinn. Everyone knows it. Even if they play equal during camp, BQ has the advantage.

Reggie Kelly, CIN

1
Sucks for him. Wasn't too relevant for fantasy purposes anyway. I don't see the Bengals rebounding much this year.

LenDale White, TEN

2
His size was a factor that limited him last year. Unfortunately, his ego was another. This should help him take more advantage of the opportunities he'll get, but I don't think it will cut into CJ's time.

Sidney Rice, MIN

1
Sounds like he's coming along well.

Matt Forte, CHI

That's a great position to be in. Can't go wrong either way. I think I prefer Turner because he's a TD machine. The article makes some good points I hadn't considered though.

Chad Ocho Cinco, CIN

Well, I can understand hesitation around Edwards. Assuming Quinn is the QB, he'll probably have some growing pains this year. He only started 2 or 3 games last year and played pretty poorly.

Marc Bulger, STL

Long detailed article looking at Marc Bulger's potential fantasy value. The conclusion: "I don’t think Bulger is as bad as he showed last season"

Kevin Curtis, PHI

That's good to hear. I was targeting him on waivers all year hoping that he would be a monster when he came back from injury. With Jeremy Maclin in the mix now, I'm not sure how playing time is going to be split up this year.

Ladell Betts, WAS

2
That's a good article. Honestly, I can never bring myself to draft Portis. If I do this year, I'll definitely grab Betts. Maybe it really is his time to shine.

Matt Ryan, ATL

Ryan's teammates are saying that he's improving by "leaps and bounds." With the addition of Tony Gonzalez this year, maybe Ryan is going to bust out.

Brandon Jacobs, NYG

1
Well, Bradshaw will poach TDs, but Jacobs is still the primary. I'd feel good with him as my 2nd RB if I also have depth elsewhere.

Tony Romo, DAL

4
Good breakdown of Tony Romo's value this year without T.O. Fantasy football fool puts him as a high tier-2 QB. Lack of WR depth and a potential emphasis on the running game will hurt him.

Michael Crabtree, SF

I don't know. Morgan is a decent receiver, and that injury will have Crabtree sidelined for a while longer. He might be slow going at the beginning. Maybe this year isn't the year for Crabtree's fantasy value.

Carson Palmer, CIN

Carson Palmer feels 100% healthy. Back to regular routine. Wonder how much Coles will help his game. Housh was a great possession receiver.

That's good. It's been a while since I've heard anything about his condition. Pencil him in for 30 TDs, 4,200 yds.

Michael Crabtree, SF

Ah, my bad sorry. I should have paid closer attention. Thanks for the clarification.

The Eagles had looked at trading for Anquan Boldin, but the price tag was just too high.

A case for Manning being the best QB of all time.

Wow, just wow. I thought it was all hype until now. That guy just doesn't know when to quit.

Donovan McNabb, PHI

SI says that McNabb was one of the big winners of the draft, getting more offensive weapons to work with. I've gotta agree.

Plaxico Burress, NYG

That would work out really well for Sanchez. Assuming Plax doesn't have any suspensions or get into more trouble though. But right now the Jets are hurting pretty badly for receivers.

I hope his distractions are finally over. Maybe he can get back to catching the ball. The guy's got tons of talent when he actually tries.
Discuss

Anquan Boldin, BAL

2
That's surprising. He's got tons of talent. I wonder what ARI was asking for. There's tons of teams that would benefit instantly from having a known quantity in Boldin.

Lee Evans, BUF

1
Agreed. He's roughly a #4 WR in my book.

Jake Delhomme, CLE

Delhomme got a contract extension through 2014. Hope his elbow can last that long.

St. Louis' pick of Jason Smith (OT) has gotta be at least a spark of good news for Jackson. Hopefully that offense can pick it up a bit this year.
