![]() 1 ![]() | Carlson had an odd year last year for a TE on a team with few passing options. Looks like he is showcasing his stuff to the new coaches. With the new TEs and possible double TE sets, Carlson could cause problems in the secondary.

![]() 1 ![]() | Jerome Harrison had a great record-setting end to the 2009 campaign. However in the 2010 draft, the Browns added Montario Hardesty, a great north-south, bowling-ball of a runner from Tennessee. Holmgren believes his running style will prove valuable in the bad winter weather. That assessment alone could spell doom for Jerome Harrison's value, or at least push him back into his 3rd down, pass-catching role.

![]() 1 ![]() | Lynch's value took another hit this last weekend, but this time it was not self-induced. The Bills drafted CJ Spiller 9th overall, which pretty much opens the door for the Bills to dump Lynch. If you have Lynch in a dynasty league, proceed with caution -- the value of his autograph and yours could be close soon.

![]() 1 ![]() | It is official. Roethlisberger will serve a 6 game suspension, which will have him absent for 7 weeks (includes bye) of the Fantasy Football season. Despite not being charged, Ben is being punished for violating the league's conduct policy.

![]() 1 ![]() | With Roethlisberger being suspended, the defense struggling last year, their top WR gone, and his competition (Parker) gone, you GOTTA bump Mendenhall up high on your charts. Is he top-10 material? Not sure I would go that far, but there are very few RBs not in an RBBC out there. Mendenhall is one of those guys with no competition and a QB that will need help. BIG sleeper potential here!

![]() 1 ![]() | Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter, of ESPN, report Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger will be suspended for four to six games. Certainly the Byron Leftwich trade yesterday makes sense now. How big is this to fantasy players? Think about most fantasy leagues use a 14 game "regular season". Add to that the fact that the Steelers have Week8 as their Bye, and Roethlisberger is effectively gone for 7 of the 14 regular season games. We can probably say that all Steeler receivers take a hit with this as well. Stay tuned as there should be official word from the league today. Also note above that there will likely be conditions available where Roethlisberger could reduce the suspension.

![]() 1 ![]() | Today the 49ers added Ted Ginn, Jr. One could make the case that this is now potentially one of the more potent passing offenses in the league. With Crabtree, Ginn, and Davis catching and Gore running, where do you send the safety?! If Smith can hit the open receiver and make quick decisions, this team has great sleeper potential at QB and WR2.

![]() 1 ![]() | After the Brandon Marshall trade, MIA saw Ginn as expendable. He has been traded to the SF 49ers, for a 5th round pick (145 overall). Ginn is a talented receiver stuck with WR1 talent, but WR2 moves. He should thrive opposite Crabtree. I really like this move -- huge sleeper potential and definitely worth a later round pick!

![]() 1 ![]() | With Brandon Marshall traded to MIA, Royal is the clear winner. He is a quick and shifty receiver that Orton did not take enough advantage of last year. With all the attention on Marshall and Orton not really exciting fantasy owners, Royal may be picked up in drafts as a great sleeper as a solid WR2 with WR1 upside.

![]() 1 ![]() | WRs are defined by their relationship with their QBs, where RBs are more defined by the OL. Preseason will be a huge test to how quickly Henne and Marshall can get on the same page. I think Marshall is still a great talent, but in FF terms, he falls out of the top tier. If the relationship is there in preseason, of course that changes. But I prefer established QB-WR teams to create a solid fantasy contender.

![]() 1 ![]() | With Santonio Holmes gone, Wallace will see more playing time with an opportunity to be the team's goto receiver. Does this bump him, of course. Big bump? I am not so sure. Keep in mind there’s a big difference between seriously challenging a defense as a #3, as Wallace did last year, and consistently producing as a starter on the outside. The chemistry he develops with Roethlisberger during preseason will be interesting to watch.

![]() 1 ![]() | Multiple sources have indicated that receiver Santonio Holmes is facing a four-game suspension under the league's substance-abuse policy. The biggest addition for Cassel is Weis, and if Bowe can stay healthy, Cassel has a chance to shine. Cassel moves himself up to a decent backup option. ![]() 2 ![]() | Also it is extremely important to note that the Seahawks really gave up a lot for Whitehurst. But it was not only Seattle that was in the mix but also the Cardinals. And both were willing to give up a minimum of a 3rd round pick for this third stringer. I agree with brettbarclay. Look for Whitehurst to be a very big midseason sleeper, and a solid starter next year. These teams are not betting big on a "hunch." And now we have the addition of a very good blocking TE that played with Martz in STL added to a team that already has a great receiving TE. Can we read into this? You betcha! The best that could happen to Olsen now is to get traded to a team like the Browns, Bengals, Bills, or other team with struggling WR play or that starts with a 'B'.

If he is not the better QB or is equal to Anderson, then this is a face-saving move by the organization. Either reason, I applaud this move. Let other owners fool themselves into thinking the guy will play all 16 games. For those not in a PPR league, think about this: He is currently being drafted at RB20-22. Yet in 2006 he finished as RB17, in 2007 as RB24, and last year as RB36!! He is extremely overvalued! Do not fall in love with players or potential -- Buyer beware!!

![]() 3 ![]() | That article is absolutely foolish!! Last year, Turner got 376 carries -- ridiculous! Coaches are right to get that back in line, so lower expectations make sense. But even if his production is reduced by 100 carries that projects to 1200 yds and 12 TDs. When Turner left SD he was averaging 4.5/car and that did not change in ATL. 10 TDs sounds reasonable, but the yardage prediction of 25% less is just being stupid!

![]() 2 ![]() | This is my own personal opinion not backed by any article, so take it with a grain of salt. I personally have always been impressed with K.Jones. In his rookie year, he ran for 1100 yds, 5 rushing TDs, and averaged 4.7 yd/car. Yet the Lions felt he was not that good and began to limit his involvement. In 2005, significantly less carries but 5 TDs again. 2006 less carries, 6 TDs. And 2007 carries went down to only 153 for the season, he had 8 TDs. All the while (even after injuries), he continued to get 3.8 yds/carry. If Jones was given 316 carries like Forte in any one of his previous years, his numbers project to equal or better yardage and more TDs. Jones is no stiff. If the staff is willing to give him carries, he will produce. He is a smart handcuff for any Forte owner.

![]() 3 ![]() | I certainly understand the 'boom-bust' fear, but that is also why I called him a sleeper. So as a high 5th round pick, other than D.Jackson (if he is still on the board) you would take A.Bryant, S.Holmes, A.Gonzalez, E.Royal, B.Berrian over Chad? He is currently being drafted near 3 #2WRs and 2 one-year wonders. The point was that where he is drafted, he is a pretty good value pick and one of the few that could outperform, thus earning the title 'sleeper.'

![]() 5 ![]() | Remember Ochocinco and Palmer were both injured last year. I will be targeting '85' in all leagues because I think most of you will not. '85' has never had a season of less than 7 tds or 1200 yds with a healthy C.Palmer. I am also taking into account that he is keeping his mouth shut, showing up to OTAs, and getting decent reviews from the coaching staff. If you are drafting now, you will get phenominal value at the end of the 4th round. But if you draft in August, he might be in the mid-3rd round by then. Either way it is a great sleeper when you can get a top-7 WR outside of the 2nd round.

I don't know a single player in the history of the NFL that has had similar or better numbers after holdouts. 2. Add to that fact that WRs with new QBs usually perform worse as well. 3.
