1 | Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter, of ESPN, report Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger will be suspended for four to six games. Certainly the Byron Leftwich trade yesterday makes sense now. How big is this to fantasy players? Think about most fantasy leagues use a 14 game "regular season". Add to that the fact that the Steelers have Week8 as their Bye, and Roethlisberger is effectively gone for 7 of the 14 regular season games. We can probably say that all Steeler receivers take a hit with this as well. Stay tuned as there should be official word from the league today. Also note above that there will likely be conditions available where Roethlisberger could reduce the suspension. | |

2 | This is my own personal opinion not backed by any article, so take it with a grain of salt. I personally have always been impressed with K.Jones. In his rookie year, he ran for 1100 yds, 5 rushing TDs, and averaged 4.7 yd/car. Yet the Lions felt he was not that good and began to limit his involvement. In 2005, significantly less carries but 5 TDs again. 2006 less carries, 6 TDs. And 2007 carries went down to only 153 for the season, he had 8 TDs. All the while (even after injuries), he continued to get 3.8 yds/carry. If Jones was given 316 carries like Forte in any one of his previous years, his numbers project to equal or better yardage and more TDs. Jones is no stiff. If the staff is willing to give him carries, he will produce. He is a smart handcuff for any Forte owner. | |

3 | This is a player to keep an eye on. Since the NFL draft, he has been one of the biggest and best sleepers. Since then, Wells has jumped from the early 12th round to late 5th!! 3 | I certainly understand the 'boom-bust' fear, but that is also why I called him a sleeper. So as a high 5th round pick, other than D.Jackson (if he is still on the board) you would take A.Bryant, S.Holmes, A.Gonzalez, E.Royal, B.Berrian over Chad? He is currently being drafted near 3 #2WRs and 2 one-year wonders. The point was that where he is drafted, he is a pretty good value pick and one of the few that could outperform, thus earning the title 'sleeper.' | |

5 | Remember Ochocinco and Palmer were both injured last year. I will be targeting '85' in all leagues because I think most of you will not. '85' has never had a season of less than 7 tds or 1200 yds with a healthy C.Palmer. I am also taking into account that he is keeping his mouth shut, showing up to OTAs, and getting decent reviews from the coaching staff. If you are drafting now, you will get phenominal value at the end of the 4th round. But if you draft in August, he might be in the mid-3rd round by then. Either way it is a great sleeper when you can get a top-7 WR outside of the 2nd round. | |

4 | I have to update my own reply. I think that if Marshall continues his holdout, we need to seriously think about downgrading him. I don't know a single player in the history of the NFL that has had similar or better numbers after holdouts. 2. Add to that fact that WRs with new QBs usually perform worse as well. 3. Coming off an injury. 4. New offensive (complicated) system.... Putting him at WR14 and expecting 1000yd/8TD seems almost like a stretch now. | |

5 | I agree with the thought that he is hurt too often, but we have said that about A.Johnson. Despite the injuries, when he is on the field he is a monsters. Running mock drafts with a full room (instead of vs computer) I have been consistently getting Colston in the 4th, which I think is an absolute steal! | |

5 | Other than Brady to Moss, the history of WRs with new QBs is not good. I think we should expect Bowe's numbers to end similar, but not better. Bowe's greatest value last year was his consistent point production. I would expect consistency to be better in the latter part of the year as opposed to the beginning. And as such he is hugely overvalued at 3.06! | |
